Mandiri Bank Installs EDC to Blue Bird Taxi

To improve the ease and convenience of use taxis in making payments, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk PT working with Blue Bird and Group by installing Electronic Data Capture (EDC  in all taxis Blue Bird .

In this partnership,  Mandiri Bank will provide the EDC along with loyalty programs of credit and debit cards. While the Blue Bird Group perform throughout the installation of the EDC and its taxi fleet maintenance.

"In the early stages the expected 1,000 units of Blue Bird taxi in Jakarta has been able to take advantage of the payment instrument at the end of May 2014, " said President Director of Mandiri Bank, Budi G. Sadikin, at Plaza Mandiri, Jakarta  Monday, May 5 014.

Budi explained that such cooperation is in line with the company's desire to spur electronic banking business segment as well as meet the needs of the people of the means of payment convenient, fast and reliable .

"Through collaboration with the main actors transportation sector, we hope the public will increasingly determine the reliability of products while Bank transacting. Currently we also have collaborated with TransJakarta and Taxi to facilitate the payment process using Mandiri card," he said .

Meanwhile, in the same place, Senior EVP of Mandiri Bank Transaction Banking, Rico Ushavia Frans added, with the cooperation of Blue Bird taxi users will be able to make payments taxi services by credit card, debit card , prepaid card Mandiri , as well as the newly launched products , the Independent E - Cash .
