Mandiri Bank Holds Accor to Strengthen Card Business

One form of cooperation is the joint marketing promotion programs. This promotion is expected to increase loyalty cardholders and Mandiri Bank debit card. PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk and hotel group Accor network agreed to a global partnership to provide added value and greater benefits to the loyal customers of both companies, both debit and credit card holders of Bank Mandiri and guests Accor hotels.


The signing of the cooperation carried out by the Director of Consumer Banking of Bank Mandiri, Hery Gunardi and Chief Operating Officer of Accor for the Malaysia-Indonesia-Singapore, Gerard Guillouet and witnessed by Bank Mandiri President Director Budi G Sadikin, at Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 20, 2015.

One form of such cooperation is the joint marketing promotion programs as a step to strengthen customer loyalty rate of debit and credit card holders Bank independently while providing the comfort of a payment system for Accor hotel guests.

Through this cooperation, debit and credit card holders Mandiri Bank can enjoy many interesting programs throughout the Accor network in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore up to December 2015, including a 10% discount for cardholders Independent and special programs stay 3 nights for 2 nights with Mandiri credit card. Other programs are also immediately can be enjoyed include Accor fiestapoin and powerpoint in the regional as well as special programs for holders of Independent Commercial Cards.

Budi G. Sadikin say, this partnership will greatly benefit both sides because of Mandiri Bank and Accor Hotels are two fairly large business entities in their respective industries. "We will continue to work together with merchants who already have a strong customer base, to develop a variety of promotional programs that can provide added value to customers who have placed funds and transactions in the network of Bank Mandiri," he said.

Currently Mandiri Bank has 3.6 million cardholders and more than 12 million debit card holders and as many as 285 947 number of EDC mounted units throughout Indonesia.

Hery Gunardi added, synergy is also based on the increasing level of utilization of EDC as a means of customer transactions. In the period from January to March, total transactions using EDC Bank reached 37.3 million transactions with a volume of Rp32,2 trillion. The number was up 22% compared with the same period last year and one of them recorded by transaction travel, hotels and airlines.

"We will soon be putting at least one EDC on any Accor network. Until now, the 45 hotels of Accor 96hotel in Indonesia has been using EDC Bank Mandiri, "said Hery.

In the period from January to March 2015, the total transactions using debit cards Mandiri Bank reached 16.4 million transactions with a volume amounting to Rp12.1 trillion. The number was up 49% compared to the same period last year. While the transaction using a credit card, in the first three months of 2015 amounted to 8.4 million with a sales volume of Rp7,3 trillion, up 38% compared to January-March, 2014.

Accor network currently covers more than 3,700 hotels and 480,000 rooms worldwide under the brand include Sofitel, Pullman, Grand Mercure, MGallery, Novotel, Mercure, Ibis and family (ibis Styles, ibis and ibis budget).
