Bank Mandiri and AXA make Credit Card Insurance

Insurance protection becomes important considering the huge losses resulting from misuse of credit card crime in Indonesia. PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk holding its subsidiary PT Mandiri AXA General Insurance (AXA Mandiri), launched the Credit Card Protection Fraudulent Credit Card) as well as products Purchase Protection and Hospitalization Cash Benefit (Purchase Protection and Hospital Cash).

SVP Credit Cards Bank Mandiri, Boyke Yurista said Credit Card Protection is the replacement of losses from credit card transactions as a result of misuse of credit cards were missing, including theft and withdraw cash with a credit card at an ATM by customers who are under threat.

This latest form of protection, is important because according to data compiled by the Indonesian Credit Card Association (AKKI), losses resulting from misuse of credit card crime in Indonesia amounted to IDR 600 billion during the year 2013.

At the same time, the number of credit card users in Indonesia increased by 6.7% from 15.09 million in 2013, became 16.04 million people last year.

For premium products, customers will be offered two options premiums and coverage for customers. The first plan, the payment of a premium of IDR 20,000 per month for the benefit of dependents to $ 7,500,000 and accidental death benefits amounting to IDR 75,000,000.

The second plan, premium payments of IDR 25,000 per month for dependents benefits of IDR 15,000,000 and accidental death benefits amounting to IDR 100,000,000.

Meanwhile, Purchase Protection and Compensation Hospitalization is an insurance product that provides the benefits of replacement or repair of goods purchased with Mandiri credit card in case of damage, within 30 days after the date of purchase in Indonesia or 45 days if the purchase is made abroad.

This protection also provides other benefits such as cash compensation if the customer was admitted to hospital more than two days due to accidents and accidental death benefits.
