Total Accounts in IDR and Foreign Currency Deposits Equally Increased

Deposit Insurance Agency (DPA) noted, the value of total deposits in October 2014 rose Rp20.862 billion, or 0.51% (month to month / MoM). This increase brings the total deposits by the end of October 2014 reached IDR 4.087.348 billion. Based on the types of deposits (demand deposits, savings deposits, deposits on call, time deposits and certificates of deposit), the most substantial growth in the number of accounts is a certificate of deposit. Growth reached 10.84% (MoM), from 166 accounts per September 2014, increased to 184 accounts per October 2014. So even if the terms of the nominal amount, the highest nominal growth certificates of deposits reached 31.28% (MoM). As of September 2014 the nominal amount of IDR 2.328 billion to IDR 3.056 billion (October 2014).


DPA Secretary, Samsu Adi Nugroho, in a press release in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 23, 2014, says, for deposits with a value of up to 2 billion, the number of accounts increased by 1.20% (MoM). A total of 154 793 020 accounts per September 2014, into account 156 645 489 per October 2014.

According to Samsu, the nominal amount of deposits declined by 0.12% (MoM). As of the end of September 2014 the nominal amount of deposits amounted to IDR 1.798.061 billion, fell to IDR 1.795.927 billion by the end of October 2014.

"As for deposits with a value of over 2 billion, the number of accounts increased by 1.48% (MoM). A total of 195 824 accounts in September 2014 to 198 720 in October 2014 accounts Similarly, the nominal amount of deposits, grew by 1.01% (MoM). Meanwhile, based on the type of exchange, the number of accounts in dollars and foreign currency deposits equally increased. The number of savings accounts in dollars increased by 1.20% (MoM). Similarly, the number of accounts in foreign currency deposits increased by 0.07% (MoM). As of September 2014 amounted to 1,081,117 accounts, then increased to 1,081,924 accounts at the end of October 2014.

When viewed from the nominal deposits, only nominal deposits in dollars were increased. Deposits in dollars grew by 0.64% (MoM), of at IDR 3.402.256 billion (September 2014) became IDR 3.429.022 billion (October 2014). Deposits in foreign currency, the number fell 0.14% (MoM). As of September 2014 amounted to IDR 659.229 billion nominal deposits and by October 2014 the nominal amount of deposits fell to IDR 658.326 billion.

Until October 2014, commercial bank guarantees totaling 119 participants bank. Consists of 107 conventional commercial banks and 12 Islamic banks. For conventional commercial banks, consists of four state-owned banks, 26 Local Government Banks Private Banks 67 National and 10 Branches of foreign banks.
